MJF Could Form a Major Stable Outside of AEW

While establishing his place in a new faction within AEW, MJF appeared in Major League Wrestling and teased a reunion with a former ally.

The AEW star was featured in backstage footage from MLW’s Summer of Beasts event on June 26, where he came face-to-face with his former Dynasty stablemate, Hammerstone. The interaction, posted on MLW’s social media, began with Hammerstone seeing his old teammate approach.

“Well, well, well,” Hammerstone said before MJF greeted him with equal enthusiasm.

“Hammer. You son of a b*tch,” MJF replied.

The two embraced, referring to each other as “Dynasty bros” before MJF complimented Hammerstone’s physique, saying “it’s been too long.” After a moment where MJF grabbed his former partner’s pecs, the two agreed a fist bump was more appropriate before sharing another celebratory hug.

The Dynasty was a dominant faction in MLW, formed in February 2019. Together, the group held multiple championships, including the MLW World Heavyweight and World Tag Team Championships.

This appearance in another promotion comes at a pivotal time for MJF in AEW. After weeks of seeking membership, he was officially accepted into The Hurt Syndicate in May, joining the group led by MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin. The move has led to speculation about his ultimate intentions, echoing his past betrayals of other factions.

His focus in AEW is currently on the AEW World Title picture. MJF is scheduled to be one of the first two entrants in the Men’s Casino Gauntlet Match at All In: Texas on July 12, where the winner will earn a future championship opportunity.

The appearance at the MLW show followed MJF’s attack on CMLL star Mistico, continuing a rivalry that escalated after MJF unmasked the luchador at AEW’s Grand Slam: Mexico event in June.
