Naomi Reacts To AJ Lee’s WWE Return

Trinity Fatu, known in WWE as Naomi, has reacted to AJ Lee’s dramatic return to SmackDown with a supportive message posted on X. She referred to Lee as her “lil Dynamite” and encouraged her to “give em hell” following the show.

Caffeine perks you up… but me, I’m some natural dynamite baby. @TheAJMendez welcome back my lil Dynamite give em hell🧨 #smackdown,” Fatu wrote. The post fulfills a promise she made on September 3, when she tweeted, “If she returns while I’m out yall will witness the crash out of the century on this app⚠️

Naomi’s post came after Lee made a shocking appearance on the September 5 episode of SmackDown in Chicago, her first in a WWE ring in over 3,800 days. Lee’s return occurred during the main event segment, where she confronted WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch.

The confrontation was the latest escalation in the ongoing rivalry between their respective spouses, CM Punk and Seth Rollins. The conflict intensified at Clash in Paris, where Lynch interfered to help Rollins defeat Punk and retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

On SmackDown, the Chicago crowd chanted for Lee during Lynch’s promo before Lynch slapped CM Punk multiple times. Punk stated he would not hit a woman but knew someone who would, which prompted Lee’s music to play. Lee then ran to the ring to a massive ovation and attacked Lynch, forcing her to retreat.

Naomi is currently away from in-ring action after announcing her pregnancy, a development that led her to relinquish the Women’s World Heavyweight Championship on Monday Night Raw.

Lee’s attack on Lynch is reportedly setting up a mixed tag team match for Wrestlepalooza on September 20, which would see Lee and Punk team up against Lynch and Rollins. The return marks a significant moment for Lee, who originally retired from wrestling in April 2015 due to a spinal injury.
