Naomi attended the premiere of Queen of the Ring wearing a neck brace, maintaining the storyline injury from Jade Cargill’s attack at Elimination Chamber on March 1.
The WWE star was pulled from the women’s Elimination Chamber match when Cargill made her return to television and targeted Naomi. The attack, which wrote Naomi out of the match, came after Cargill had been absent since a backstage attack in November.
Photos from the movie premiere show Naomi sporting a bedazzled neck brace while attending the event with her husband, Jimmy Uso. She also shared images of the decorated neck brace on her social media before the premiere.
Despite recent reports indicating Naomi had been pulled from appearances promoting the Queen of the Ring movie, she attended the premiere where she portrays Ethel Johnson in the film.
The movie focuses on Mildred Burke, played by Emily Bett Rickards, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016. Johnson, whom Naomi portrays, was inducted as part of the Hall of Fame Class of 2021.
Cargill’s targeted attack on Naomi has led to speculation that Naomi may have been responsible for the November attack that temporarily removed Cargill from WWE programming.
