Netflix sued over issues during Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight
A class-action lawsuit has been filed against Netflix following widespread streaming problems during the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson boxing match. Ronald “Blue” Denton submitted the legal claim in Florida on Monday, citing “legendary problems” experienced by viewers.
Court documents detail that Denton and thousands of others faced access issues, glitches, and continuous buffering when attempting to watch the bout around 8 PM ET on Friday. The problems were widely reported on social media, with Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy among those documenting streaming difficulties.
Netflix acknowledged the concerns in a Saturday statement: “We don’t want to dismiss the poor experience of some members and know we have room for improvement, but still consider this event a huge success.”
The lawsuit alleges breach of contract and seeks unspecified damages.
