The legal fallout from a violent incident at an independent wrestling event has escalated with the release of new footage showing Raja Jackson, son of former UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, being taken into custody.
The video, published by TMZ, captures the 25-year-old being escorted by two police officers from an apartment complex. The clip, apparently filmed by a neighbor, follows Jackson as he walks down an outdoor staircase before briefly turning to face the camera.
The arrest stems from an altercation last month at a Knokx Pro Wrestling show, where Jackson stormed the ring and attacked wrestler Syko Stu, whose real name is Stuart Smith. Viral footage from the event showed Jackson lifting Smith and slamming him to the mat before delivering nearly two dozen punches to his motionless opponent. Several seconds passed before others managed to intervene.
Smith was hospitalized for multiple days with serious injuries, including a fractured maxilla bone and a broken jaw. Jackson was later charged with felony battery causing serious bodily injury and was released on a $50,000 bond.
The case has reverberated across the wrestling community, sparking strong reactions from both industry veterans and Jackson’s family. Support for Smith has poured in through a fundraiser that has already exceeded $150,000, with notable contributions from Chris Jericho, Finn Bálor, and YouTuber MrBeast.
Perhaps the most forceful response has come from Quinton Jackson himself. The former UFC star publicly condemned his son’s actions, saying Raja should face serious consequences, including prison time and mandatory therapy.
