Odyssey Jones Files Slander Lawsuit Against Ex-Girlfriend

Court records from Orange County, Florida, reveal that Omari Palmer filed a slander lawsuit against Meileth Nunez on January 20, 2025. Palmer seeks damages exceeding $100,000, claiming Nunez made false statements to TKO Group and media outlets between May and July 2024.

Palmer’s lawsuit contends that these allegations directly led to his WWE contract termination in September 2024. The legal documents state that Nunez’s claims about Palmer physically attacking her after discovering text messages were “categorically false” and “maliciously made with actual knowledge of the statements’ falsity.”

Court records indicate Palmer obtained a protection order against Nunez in September 2024. In his petition, Palmer detailed multiple alleged incidents of harassment, including a confrontation during a cruise in May 2024.

Good morning, my name is Omari Palmer, AKA Odyssey Jones, and first and foremost, I’d like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for giving me the strength to get through these difficult times. I apologize for taking so long to address these false claims, but I had to patiently wait to get an injunction set in place to protect my family, my friends, and myself.

The Florida court extended Palmer’s protection order for an additional three years on January 6, 2025, ensuring it remains active until early 2028. Palmer’s petition revealed that he and Nunez initially dated in 2017, separated in 2018, and briefly resumed their relationship in August 2023.

Palmer expressed gratitude to WWE during his January 11 Instagram video statement, despite the circumstances of his departure, and announced his return to professional wrestling, accepting bookings for 2025.
