Odyssey Jones released a new video statement addressing his path forward following WWE departure and recent abuse allegations from his ex-partner. Released from WWE in September 2024, Jones faces accusations of physical assault stemming from an alleged incident in May 2024.
The accusations detail that Jones reacted violently after discovering text messages between his ex-partner and another man. His ex-partner provided photographic evidence showing bruises on her shoulders and legs, which she states resulted from Jones throwing objects and slamming her to the ground twice.
In a newly released Instagram video, Jones combined workout footage with wrestling clips while delivering a voice-over message about perseverance.
Life tends to come at you fast. The ebb and flow of success, the failure. The high and lows of love and hate, but I understand that the God behind me is bigger than the mountain in front of me. I have come face-to-face with triumph and tragedy. I will treat them just the same. I am Odyssey, and my journey continues.
Jones captioned the video “Married to the Game!” and has received support from fans in the comments section. Following the original allegations, Jones made counter-accusations of stalking against his ex-partner. As of this writing, no formal charges have been filed against Jones regarding the abuse allegations.
The situation emerged just as Jones was positioned for a potential main roster run alongside The New Day before his departure from WWE. His release prevented fans from seeing this planned direction materialize.
