Off-Air Footage Shows Rhea Ripley Assisting Iyo Sky on WWE RAW

WWE has released off-air footage from the September 29 episode of Monday Night RAW showing IYO SKY in significant distress and being helped to the back by officials and Rhea Ripley. The incident followed an on-air angle where Asuka blinded SKY with the Green Mist during a confrontation involving the newly reformed Kabuki Warriors.

The video shows a blinded SKY in considerable pain as Ripley, drawing from her own experience with the mist on the previous week’s broadcast, attempted to advise and comfort her. WWE officials also expressed visible concern for SKY’s condition as they provided assistance.

The situation escalated on-air when The Kabuki Warriors, Asuka and Kairi Sane, interrupted Ripley and SKY. Asuka and Sane made an appeal for SKY to rejoin them, claiming they could still be “family” and leaving her visibly conflicted and in tears.

SKY’s attempt to intervene after The Kabuki Warriors initiated an attack on Ripley resulted in Asuka spraying her directly in the eyes with the Green Mist without warning. This act incapacitated SKY and allowed Asuka and Sane to execute a two-on-one beatdown on Ripley, which culminated with an In-Sane Elbow from Sane.

This evening’s events are rooted in the shocking heel turn from the September 22 episode of RAW. On that broadcast, Asuka and Sane officially reunited and cemented their new alliance by first ambushing Ripley post-match and then brutally turning on their former ally, IYO SKY.
