Plans Revealed For Recently Returned WWE Star

Dave Meltzer reports Lince Dorado has joined WWE NXT as a coach while also competing in matches, marking his return after four years.

Lince Dorado made his WWE return at an NXT live event in Citrus Springs, Florida, defeating Josh Black. Prior to his return, Dorado vacated the Demand Lucha Premier Championship.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Dorado has signed with WWE as a coach at the Performance Center. According to Meltzer, Dorado will combine his coaching duties with in-ring competition.

Dorado confirmed his return on social media by sharing an image of the NXT logo with the message “time to get lucha lit.”

Lince Dorado Left WWE In 2021

Dorado’s initial WWE tenure began in 2016 with his participation in the Cruiserweight Classic tournament. He later formed Lucha House Party with Gran Metalik and Kalisto on 205 Live. WWE released Dorado and Metalik in 2021, after which both wrestlers continued performing internationally.

Lince Dorado returned to WWE action at an NXT live event in Citrus Springs, Florida, marking his first appearance since his departure in November 2021.

The former Lucha House Party member competed and secured a victory at the non-televised event. Dorado’s WWE career previously spanned from 2016 to 2021, beginning with his participation in the Cruiserweight Classic tournament. During his initial run, he formed Lucha House Party alongside Kalisto and Gran Metalik.

Following his WWE release, Dorado maintained an active presence in independent wrestling and established himself as a ring gear designer for other wrestlers. His last recorded match prior to this NXT appearance was against Rich Swann at CZW on December 21.

WWE has not officially confirmed Dorado’s status with the company following his appearance at the NXT live event.
