Popular AEW Faction Could Undergo Major Rebrand

Thekla suggests her "Triangle of Madness" faction shorten its name to "Madness." She explains the change would allow the group to expand beyond its current three members and recruit new talent.

Popular AEW Faction Could Undergo Major Rebrand

Thekla is looking to rebrand her alliance with Julia Hart and Skye Blue. During an appearance on AEW Unrestricted, she proposed shortening the faction’s name from “Triangle of Madness” to simply “Madness,” a change that would open the door for future expansion.

She outlined a vision for the group that could eventually include more talent, breaking free from the numerical limit implied by their current name.

“For now, I just hope people are gonna stick with Madness – and hopefully call us that too, because in my head, I think we could definitely use some more people on our team, and I’d love it if we even expand at some point. Maybe even guys, who knows,” Thekla stated.

The group, which formed in July, has been a natural fit for Thekla. She pointed to creative similarities with her partners, especially Julia Hart, as a key reason for their chemistry.

“I saw it coming, honestly. I think there are so many parallels, especially with me and Julia in the way we move in the ring, and also our love for extravagant visuals,” she said. “She’s got a very artistic mind too, and that’s my base too. We’re all into the same type of music, also. So I think there’s a base with that.” (h/t WrestleTalk)

This push for a new identity comes as the faction is in the middle of a heated rivalry with AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm. The conflict escalated on a recent AEW Collision, which saw the Triangle of Madness attack both Storm and Kris Statlander after an eight-woman tag team match.

The post-match attack was cut short when Jamie Hayter intervened. Annoyed by the interference, Storm immediately laid out a challenge for a four-way title match. Later, in a digital exclusive promo, she also issued a direct challenge to the faction for this week’s Dynamite.

“And if any one of you triangle bitches wanna get f—ked up in Philly, then you pick one of yours and I’ll see you next Wednesday in a Philadelphia street fight,” Storm declared.

The build-up culminates at AEW All Out on September 20. There, Thekla is scheduled to compete for the AEW Women’s World Championship against champion Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, and Kris Statlander.
