Despite holding the WWE Women’s United States Championship, Giulia’s main roster run has been marked by fan frustration over her booking. A recent analysis from wrestling personality Sam Roberts suggests the core issue is not a lack of talent, but a failure to establish a clear on-screen identity for the former NXT standout.
Speaking on his podcast, Roberts contrasted Giulia’s reception with that of her contemporary, Stephanie Vaquer, positing that the audience has yet to understand her character.
“I think Giulia has not yet established an identity on the main roster,” Roberts stated. “I think Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer came to NXT at the same time, came to the main roster at similar times, and I think the audience has taken to Stephanie Vaquer, and I think Giulia, everybody’s still trying to figure out. They call Giulia ‘The Beautiful Madness.’ I have not seen madness.”
This critique of her persona is underscored by her current on-screen booking. Instead of a singles program befitting her “madness” moniker, Giulia is currently involved in a tag team angle, partnering with Kiana James against Michin and B-Fab.
Giulia’s championship reign began approximately three months ago when she defeated Zelina Vega for the title. Since that victory, she has had only a handful of title defenses, contributing to the perception of a stalled push.
The concerns over Giulia’s booking echo recent statements from Chelsea Green, the inaugural Women’s United States Champion, who has called for the new mid-card titles to be featured more prominently. Green, who made history by winning the championship tournament in December 2024, specifically advocated for more television time for the current champion. The Women’s Intercontinental Championship, currently held by Becky Lynch, was introduced one month after the U.S. title’s debut.
