The field for the upcoming battle royal at WWE Evolution is beginning to take shape, with the winner set to receive a world championship opportunity at Clash in Paris on August 31. During the July 7 episode of WWE RAW, Nikki Bella was announced as a participant in the match.
In a move to increase audience engagement ahead of the premium live event, WWE has invited fans to suggest names for the match directly to NXT General Manager Ava. The company’s official X account posted a message encouraging the interaction.
“Ahead of tomorrow night’s announcement on @WWENXT, let #WWENXT GM @avawwe_ know who NEEDS to be in the #WWEEvolution Battle Royal this Sunday!”
Ava is expected to reveal the NXT talent participating in the battle royal during the brand’s next broadcast. The inclusion of Nikki Bella marks a shift from her originally planned storyline, which was altered after Liv Morgan sustained a significant shoulder injury on June 23. Besides Bella, other confirmed participants include Stephanie Vaquer, with reports also suggesting potential surprise entrants from TNA and other returning legends.
This match is part of the first WWE Evolution event in seven years, scheduled for Sunday, July 13, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. It marks the first all-women’s premium live event to stream on Netflix for international audiences.
The card for the event also features several major championship bouts. IYO SKY will defend the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley, while Tiffany Stratton is set to face the returning Trish Stratus for the WWE Women’s Title. In a Fatal Four-Way match, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez will defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Sol Ruca & Zaria, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, and the reunited Kabuki Warriors.
