A main roster call-up may be imminent for NXT North American Champion Ethan Page. According to WrestleVotes Radio, WWE is holding internal discussions about moving Page to the SmackDown brand.
The plan would reportedly see him brought up alongside fellow Canadian Chelsea Green. WWE is said to be fond of their recent on-screen pairing in NXT, viewing the formation of a new faction as a potential launching point for Page as a key player on the main roster.
The alliance between Page and Green, united under a pro-Canada banner, has been gaining momentum. The duo recently defeated Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele in a mixed tag team match at NXT Heatwave in August 2025. This success has reportedly pleased the creative team, which is also impressed with their social media engagement.
This internal support is bolstered by enthusiasm from The CW network. The NXT broadcast partner is reportedly “high on” Page following his promotional appearances and is pushing for him to be featured more prominently across all WWE platforms.
The potential call-up comes during Page’s dominant reign as the NXT North American Champion, a title he won from Ricky Saints in May 2025. Following his victory, Page fully embraced an anti-American persona, introducing a custom championship belt featuring a Canadian flag strap on the July 22 episode of NXT.
This isn’t the first time Page’s name has been mentioned for a move to Raw or SmackDown. Reports from early August 2025 confirmed he was among the top NXT stars being evaluated for a call-up, with officials seeing significant long-term potential in him. His entire NXT tenure has been marked by a rapid ascent, including a record-setting 40-day rise to capture the NXT Championship in July 2024.
