Fightful Select has shut down widespread internet speculation about Shinsuke Nakamura’s WWE future. The outlet’s sources within the company have found no evidence supporting claims that Nakamura is set to leave.
When asking around in WWE, nobody we’d talked to had heard anything to lend credibility to Shinsuke Nakamura leaving WWE.

The unfounded rumors began circulating online recently, suggesting Nakamura would be “benched until further notice” and that WWE had no plans to renew his contract. These reports also claimed his WrestleMania 41 match with LA Knight was scrapped due to “lack of interest” and moved to SmackDown instead, where Knight reclaimed the WWE United States Championship.
With WWE sources now contradicting these claims, questions remain about Nakamura’s creative direction. The former Royal Rumble winner and Intercontinental Champion has experienced various ups and downs throughout his WWE tenure.
