Following AEW Grand Slam 2025 in Australia, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley and Buddy Matthews have begun their delayed honeymoon. The WWE Superstar, who married Matthews in 2024, shared the update through her Instagram account.
Ripley attended AEW Grand Slam to support Matthews, who has been dealing with an ankle injury. The couple opted to remain in their home country after the event for their honeymoon celebration.
The timing aligns with WWE’s current storyline direction, as Charlotte Flair has already selected Tiffany Stratton as her WrestleMania 41 opponent. Ripley faces IYO SKY in a title defense before the Show of Shows, while her WrestleMania challenger will be determined at next weekend’s Elimination Chamber.
WWE has scheduled several Elimination Chamber-related matches for tonight’s RAW broadcast. With Ripley’s next major program yet to be established, the current schedule allows for her brief absence from television.
