There are few WWE superstars today whose persona crosses into pop culture as naturally as Rhea Ripley. Her well-known admiration for the horror genre made her a fitting choice for a special appearance at Silver Scream Con, where she shared the stage with a modern horror icon.
During a theatrical segment at the convention on Saturday, Ripley was confronted by Art the Clown from the Terrifier film series. Art grabbed Ripley’s Labubu toy, leading her to slap him. He fired back with a slap of his own and then hit Ripley with a prop cleaver. She dropped to the floor and was carried offstage by people dressed as medical staff, closing out the performance. The collaboration also produced exclusive Terrifier x Rhea Ripley merchandise.
The crossover came in the middle of a busy stretch for Ripley inside the ring. While involved in a main roster feud with Asuka and IYO SKY, she also returned to NXT this past Tuesday.
Alongside former NXT Women’s Champions Tiffany Stratton and Stephanie Vaquer, Ripley confronted the group Fatal Influence, led by Jacy Jayne. That face-off set up a six-woman tag team main event for this Tuesday’s NXT Homecoming at Full Sail University.
The match will feature Ripley, Stratton, and Vaquer against Fatal Influence. Also on the NXT Homecoming card, #DIY will face Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes, and Alexa Bliss will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
