The WWE women’s division was thrown into chaos following the main event of the September 22 edition of Raw, which ended with a shocking reunion and a brutal betrayal. The show closed with Asuka and Kairi Sane standing tall over the fallen Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky, and the fallout quickly spilled onto social media.
In response to a video posted by Sky showing her crying after the broadcast, Ripley issued a short message: “I’m sorry Iyo… I’m so sorry.” The apology acknowledged her role in the night’s violent conclusion.
The chaos began after Ripley defeated Asuka in a 17-minute main event. Immediately after the pinfall, Asuka blinded Ripley with her signature green mist, signaling the official reunion of The Kabuki Warriors as Kairi Sane joined the assault.
Sky then rushed to the ring, seemingly to intervene and plead with her former ally. After a brief emotional embrace, Asuka turned on her, dropping Sky with a spinning backfist. Asuka goaded a reluctant Sane into completing the betrayal, holding Sky in place until Sane delivered a crushing InSane Elbow.
The attack on both Ripley and Sky cemented the new alliance, with The Kabuki Warriors closing the show standing over their victims. The turn was set in motion by the match finish, when a miscommunication led Asuka to knock Sane off the apron, leaving her vulnerable to Ripley’s rollup victory.
