The September 22 edition of WWE Raw closed with a singles match between Rhea Ripley and Asuka, but it was the aftermath that dominated conversation. The broadcast ended with the reunion of The Kabuki Warriors, as a violent post-match attack left two former world champions laid out in the ring. Social media posts later provided a closer look at the immediate fallout.
Ripley scored the victory in a 17-minute main event that stemmed from a backstage confrontation earlier in the night. The decisive moment came after a ringside miscommunication, when Ripley sidestepped a hip attack and Asuka inadvertently knocked Kairi Sane from the apron, leaving herself open for a rollup pin.
The celebration was short-lived. Immediately after the bell, Asuka sprayed Ripley with her signature blue mist, drenching the champion from head to waist. She and a recovered Sane then launched a two-on-one assault, officially reforming The Kabuki Warriors.
Iyo Sky rushed to the ring, seemingly to defuse the situation, and pleaded with Asuka. After a brief embrace, Asuka suddenly turned on her, flooring Sky with a spinning backfist. Holding her in place, Asuka urged a reluctant Sane to act. Sane hesitated, then delivered a crushing InSane Elbow. The show went off the air with The Kabuki Warriors standing tall over Ripley and Sky.
The fallout continued online. Stephanie Vaquer shared a video of Ripley on her Instagram Stories, while WWE announcer Lilian Garcia posted a photo alongside the mist-covered Ripley, writing: “Definitely worth coming to @wwe Raw and sharing in @rhearipley_wwe mist spray by @wwe_asuka ?”
