WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi suggests CM Punk’s surprise addition to the OG Bloodline’s WarGames team could lead to a future showdown with Roman Reigns.

Paul Heyman’s return to SmackDown brought an unexpected twist when he revealed Punk as the final member of Reigns’ team. The announcement came after several superstars, including Seth Rollins and LA Knight, declined to join the OG Bloodline for their upcoming match against Solo Sikoa’s faction.

Speaking on his Rikishi Fatu Off The Top podcast, the wrestling legend explored potential outcomes from this alliance. “Maybe now it’s hard to say because I felt with Sami kicking Roman in the mouth, possibly something can turn off from there but now we got CM Punk,” Rikishi said. He noted that while Sami Zayn is talented, a potential program between Punk and Reigns could draw more attention.

The Hall of Famer also speculated about Punk’s future plans. “Maybe CM Punk might be starting his own faction,” he added, suggesting multiple directions for the storyline after Survivor Series.

WWE legends declare Roman Reigns new Mr. WrestleMania

Hall of Famers JBL and Gerald Brisco have crowned Roman Reigns as the modern era’s Mr. WrestleMania during a Live Q&A session on Backstage Pass.

JBL emphasized Reigns’ historic achievement of headlining more WrestleManias than any other superstar. “He still is as hot now as he’s ever been,” JBL remarked, praising Reigns’ ability to maintain audience interest through compelling storytelling.

Brisco balanced his praise for Reigns by acknowledging Cody Rhodes’ role in their rivalry. “Roman couldn’t deal with a nemesis like Cody. I’m really proud of Cody. He’s the one that stuck with it, and broke out into his own,” the wrestling veteran stated.
