Roman Reigns Added To WWE Clash In Paris Main Event

Roman Reigns will now be involved in the main event of Clash in Paris tonight. According to an announcement from Michael Cole, Reigns will accompany his cousin, Jey Uso, to the ring for the Fatal 4-Way match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Jey Uso is challenging champion Seth Rollins for the title, with CM Punk and LA Knight also competing in the match. The announcement follows this past week’s episode of Raw, where Reigns expressed pride in Jey for his success since leaving The Bloodline and encouraged him to focus on winning the championship.

This new role comes in addition to Reigns’ own scheduled match on the card. He is set to face Bronson Reed in the opening contest of the show. The match is the culmination of a heated feud that has seen multiple brawls on Raw in recent weeks. Reed, a member of Seth Rollins’ faction The Vision, has taunted Reigns with the nickname “The Tribal Thief” and twice stolen his sneakers.

The rivalry between Reigns and The Vision also saw a tag team match at SummerSlam earlier this month, where Reigns and Jey Uso teamed up to defeat Reed and Bron Breakker.

Following tonight’s event, Reigns is expected to take a temporary leave from WWE to begin filming a movie for the “Street Fighter” franchise in September. This has led to speculation that his encounter with Reed may be used as a storyline reason for his upcoming absence.
