Following his return on this past Monday’s RAW, Roman Reigns has issued a clear, two-word mission statement on social media: “The Regain.” The message, posted to his Instagram account, encapsulates the violent intent he displayed upon his return to WWE programming.
The former Undisputed WWE Champion made his return to the program after being sidelined for nearly a month. He re-emerged during the main event, a Tornado Tag Team Match pitting The Usos against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Reigns interfered with multiple steel chair shots on Breakker and Reed, an action that was legal under the match’s stipulation and directly led to The Usos securing the pinfall victory.
His actions served as direct retaliation for the on-screen angle that put him out of commission. Reigns had been attacked by Breakker and Reed following his match at WWE Clash in Paris on August 31.
The storyline intensified after RAW went off the air. A WWE social media video revealed Reigns’ private instructions to Jey Uso in the ring. The message, captured with subtitles, revealed Reigns’ intense directive to Jey: “What’d I tell you? This is your show. F–k all of ’em. It’s only about you. It’s only about us. Don’t ever forget. Take everybody out. This is the only thing that ever mattered, do you understand?” The angle concluded with Reigns pointedly embracing Jey, while Jimmy Uso watched from a distance.
