Roman Reigns has disclosed his intention to maintain a connection with professional wrestling beyond the conclusion of his current WWE contract. Speaking with ESPN’s Daniel Cormier during WrestleMania week, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion outlined his future plans while drawing parallels to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s relationship with the industry.
“[The wrestling] it’s in my blood. Nothing will take me away from this position. I was born into this business and I will always be a part of it, just like Dwayne.

The Bloodline leader acknowledged having approximately “one or two years” remaining as a full-time performer on the roster. He emphasized the importance of balancing his professional obligations with his responsibilities as a husband and father to young children. Reigns explained that he approaches his career planning on a yearly basis, prioritizing his health and physical well-being.
Reigns expressed concerns about preserving his athletic capabilities, stating:
I don’t want to get to the point where I can’t play ball or run after my kids.
Currently, Reigns is scheduled to defend his championship at WrestleMania 41 this Saturday in a Triple Threat Match against CM Punk and Seth Rollins. Meanwhile, The Rock, who was referenced by Reigns as following a similar path, now makes occasional WWE appearances while serving on the TKO board.
