Roman Reigns May Have Picked His WWE Successor

Wrestling host Sam Roberts claims Roman Reigns' recent actions on Raw indicate he has selected Jey Uso to be his successor in WWE following a deliberate on-screen endorsement.

Roman Reigns May Have Picked His WWE Successor

Roman Reigns may have chosen Jey Uso as his successor, according to podcast host Sam Roberts. The theory comes after Reigns’ return to Raw, where his actions appeared to favor Jey over Jimmy, sparking debate about the future of his faction.

The key moment unfolded on the September 29 episode of RAW, Reigns’ first appearance in nearly a month. After The Usos battled Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in a Tornado Tag Team Match, the opponents launched a post-match attack. Reigns stormed in, blasting both with steel chair shots and clearing the way for The Usos’ victory.

Instead of celebrating with both brothers, Reigns turned all his focus to Jey. He hyped him up in the ring while Jimmy stood aside, a move that has fueled speculation about a possible shift in leadership.

On his NotSam Wrestling podcast, Roberts tied the angle to Reigns’ lighter schedule. He suggested the character could be setting up a successor. “For the first time in the whole run of this character, it would appear… that Roman sees somebody that can fill his shoes,” Roberts said. “And I’m not talking about the guy who steals his shoes, Bronson Reed… I’m talking about Jey Uso.”

Fans won’t have to wait long for answers. The American Airlines Center has confirmed that Roman Reigns will open the October 6 episode of RAW, giving him the perfect stage to address the questions raised by his recent actions.
