Roman Reigns Reveals Goal to Star in Movies While Main Eventing WWE

Roman Reigns has declared his intention to become the first WWE superstar to simultaneously lead a major film and main event a premium live event. Speaking on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story, Reigns detailed his unique career ambitions, setting a goal to balance top-tier Hollywood projects without stepping away from his role in WWE.

He articulated a clear vision for his future, one where he holds the main event spot in both worlds at the same time. “I wanted to be the first guy who could do both,” Reigns stated. “I know John did, and he did it his way, but to really be able to do both. Lead a movie and main event a pay-per-view. To have that responsibility.”

Reigns emphasized that this goal is not a transition out of the ring but an expansion of his role as a top-level performer. He concluded his point by reinforcing his commitment to the company, stating, “I don’t want to stop being a WWE superstar in order to wear other hats. I’m always going to be a WWE superstar. I’m always going to be Roman Reigns.”

While Reigns has his sights set on Hollywood, his immediate focus remains on his in-ring career, where he continues on a more limited schedule following his historic 1,316-day championship reign that ended at WrestleMania 40. His next confirmed match is a one-on-one encounter with Bronson Reed at Clash in Paris.

The upcoming premium live event match follows a recent tag team victory at SummerSlam, where Reigns teamed with Jey Uso to defeat Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. His 2025 campaign has also included several other high-profile, non-title bouts:

  • A Tribal Combat victory over Solo Sikoa on the debut episode of Raw on Netflix.
  • An elimination from the Royal Rumble match by CM Punk.
  • A Triple-Threat match against Seth Rollins and CM Punk at WrestleMania 41.
