Saraya Hints at Possible Retirement After AEW Contract Ends
Absent from AEW programming since October 2024, former champion Saraya indicates plans to retire when her contract concludes in September.

Saraya has openly discussed retirement plans during a recent Sports Illustrated interview, suggesting her wrestling career will conclude when her AEW contract expires in September.
The former AEW Women’s World Champion has been absent from television since October 2024. Her final match victory came against Nyla Rose on AEW Rampage in August 2024.
During the Sports Illustrated conversation, Saraya directly addressed her wrestling future.
I’m letting people defeat me left and right. I was on a losing streak, but I just wanted to give a gift to people. I want to encourage everyone, because I’m not going to be free in wrestling forever. I’m coming to the end of my career and it will be very soon. And I don’t want to go around thinking: “I need to be out there.
Saraya’s last AEW appearance occurred during the October 8 episode of Dynamite, where she participated in a Four-Way Women’s World Title Eliminator Match against Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale and Nyla Rose.
Her upcoming book titled “Hell in Boots: Clawing My Way Through Nine Lives” releases next Tuesday, March 25. Saraya announced book signing dates through her official X account.
Saraya captured the AEW Women’s World Championship in 2023, her only title achievement with Tony Khan’s promotion.
