Shinsuke Nakamura Steps Into Anime World With New Role
WWE Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura lands voice acting role as character Kamandas in the anime series Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin.

WWE Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura has been cast in the anime series Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin. The announcement came from the anime’s official website.
Nakamura will voice the character Kamandas, described as “Warsman’s colleague who encourages him to survive the rigorous daily training.”
This marks Nakamura’s first venture into voice acting for an anime project. The wrestling-themed series follows aliens and gods who compete in wrestling matches.
I am very honored to be able to appear in ‘Kinnikuman’, a series that I have been familiar with since I was a child. This is my first attempt at voice acting, but since I usually fight in the ring and use my voice, I think I was able to deliver a realistic performance. Please look forward to the broadcast!
Nakamura joins the Japanese version of the anime. The series continues the long-running Kinnikuman franchise.
WWE wrestler Alexa Bliss also recently entered the anime world, taking on the role of an assassin in the Netflix series Sakamoto Days.
In 2021, WWE President Nick Khan announced plans for a multi-episode anime series on Crunchyroll, which is now owned by Sony. This project has not yet been released.
Several WWE superstars have previously shown their appreciation for anime by incorporating it into their ring attire.
