Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT ended in chaos as the TNA Wrestling roster launched a full-scale invasion, closing the show with a massive brand-versus-brand brawl. The mayhem broke out during the main event, a Winner-Take-All match between TNA World Champion Trick Williams and NXT Champion Oba Femi.
Hints of the invasion were scattered throughout the September 23 broadcast, with TNA talent appearing in the background of multiple segments. The first sightings came in the parking lot, where Moose, Eric Young, and Matt Cardona were spotted as the main event competitors arrived. Later, Mance Warner and Steph De Lander walked behind Ethan Page backstage, while Lei Ying Lee and Xia Brookside were seen making their way through the arena during a women’s match.
The cameos continued as Victoria Crawford (Alicia Fox) and Steve Maclin passed Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley. In another segment featuring Joe Hendry alongside NASCAR driver Sam Mayer, Cedric Alexander and Zachary Wentz appeared in the background.
The tension escalated when Mike Santana arrived, joined commentary, and eventually jumped the barricade to confront Trick Williams. The crowd erupted at the sight of “The Complete” Matt Cardona in attendance, signaling that the main event would not conclude cleanly. In the closing moments of the bout, Williams slapped Santana at ringside, sparking an all-out melee.
Following the confrontation, members of both the TNA and NXT locker rooms stormed the ring, brawling throughout the arena. The chaos led to a disqualification, allowing Trick Williams to retain his title. The show closed with the fight still raging as Oba Femi and his No Mercy challenger, Ricky Saints, locked eyes in a tense staredown over the NXT Championship.
