During a recent appearance on THE SPEAKEEZY podcast, Michin opened up about her ongoing efforts to establish a stronger connection with WWE audiences while competing on SmackDown, where she currently pursues the Women’s United States Championship held by Chelsea Green.
Despite receiving increased opportunities to showcase her in-ring abilities, Michin acknowledged the challenges she faces in character development.
That’s a good question because I don’t even know my character. I’m really bad with – I can wrestle my ass off but I know that my biggest hindrance is I have a problem connecting with the crowd because I’m still trying to figure out what my character is because in NXT, I was the gangster, hood rat chick, right? In wrestling, you want to have you, just accelerated times 100. So they really wanted that character and I guess I dove right into it whereas now, I’m a gamer. I just wanna go home and just hang out with my dogs. I’m very low-key and chill.
