WWE superstar Stephanie Vaquer has addressed concerns about her condition following a potential injury sustained during a recent episode of WWE RAW. In a social media update on Thursday, the performer confirmed she is not seriously hurt, dismissing the incident as routine maintenance.
The injury scare occurred on the June 16 edition of WWE RAW during a first-round Queen of the Ring Tournament match against Asuka. Vaquer appeared to be in discomfort, favoring her right knee after delivering a double superkick. The situation drew attention from the broadcast team, with Michael Cole and Corey Graves both highlighting her apparent struggle on commentary, which prompted concern from viewers.
Vaquer took to Instagram to dispel any rumors of a significant setback, posting a photo of herself receiving an injection in her left knee.
“You know you’re home when they take care of you. ❤️ Don’t worry, my knee is fine 🙏just some maintenance.I just wanted to show you the little drama I made 😂 Big thanks to the WWE medical staff… love you guys! 🫶,” Vaquer wrote in the post.
This incident comes amid a period of high activity for Vaquer since her official main roster debut after WrestleMania 41. On the June 2 episode of RAW, she won a triple-threat match against Liv Morgan and Ivy Nile to qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. She went on to compete at the premium live event, which saw Naomi secure the victory.
Her transition to the main roster was set in motion following the end of her 77-day reign as NXT Women’s Champion. On the May 27 episode of NXT, Vaquer lost the title to Jacy Jayne after interference from Fallon Henley, and reports from that time indicated her move to the RAW brand was imminent.
The journey to becoming a featured talent on WWE’s flagship show completes a significant professional arc for Vaquer. In a June interview, she revealed that she had a tryout with the company seven years prior but was considered too inexperienced. That rejection motivated her to wrestle internationally, particularly in Mexico, to develop her skills before ultimately earning a WWE contract. Sources
