Stephanie Vaquer: “I Promise, Soon I Will Be Champion”

After securing a monumental victory at WWE Evolution, Stephanie Vaquer made her championship intentions perfectly clear during the post-show press conference. The win in a 20-woman battle royal has earned Vaquer a future opportunity for the WWE Women’s World Championship, and she promised the title is in her future.

The victory for Vaquer came during the all-female premium live event on Sunday, July 13, where she outlasted a field of competitors from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. The final moments of the chaotic match saw Vaquer and Lash Legend work together to eliminate the dominant Nia Jax. Immediately after their temporary alliance succeeded, Vaquer turned on Legend and eliminated her to punch her ticket to a title match.

Her win sets up a championship bout against the new WWE Women’s World Champion, Naomi, at the Clash in Paris event scheduled for next month. During the press conference, Vaquer spoke on the significance of the opportunity.

“This means a lot for me. WWE is my dream, and now I live my dream,” Vaquer said. “I work hard every day to learn a new style, to learn a new language, to learn everything — I love a challenge. If I came here, it’s because I will be the best. I promise, soon I will be champion.”

Vaquer also addressed the motivation she draws from those who doubted her ability to succeed in WWE, highlighting her desire to be a representative for the Latino community.

“Long time ago, many people said, ‘You can’t do that [be in WWE].’ And I did it… I want to show, nobody can say, ‘You can’t do that.’ I promise, I keep learning every day, this is important not just for me because I have [to represent] Latinos.”

The win at Evolution is the latest achievement in a rapid ascent for Vaquer since she signed with WWE in July 2024. After a historic run in NXT where she became the first woman to simultaneously hold the NXT Women’s and North American Championships, she moved to the Raw brand in May 2025. Her momentum continued on the July 14 episode of WWE RAW, where she came to the aid of Nikki Bella during an attack by Chelsea Green, immediately entering a main roster storyline.
