Tessa Blanchard Suspended Indefinitely by TNA

TNA Wrestling has indefinitely suspended Tessa Blanchard following a chaotic series of events at the Slammiversary pay-per-view on July 20. The announcement came directly from TNA’s Director of Authority, Santino Marella, who appeared before the live audience at UBS Arena to confirm the disciplinary action.

The suspension was a direct consequence of Blanchard’s conduct after her loss to Indi Hartwell. Following the match, Blanchard attacked Hartwell again at ringside. Her aggression then turned towards TNA interviewer Gia Miller during a post-match segment, leading to security rushing in to intervene as the broadcast abruptly cut away.

This on-screen incident compounded a tense atmosphere that had been building throughout the night. During her match, Blanchard was met with loud “she’s a racist” chants from the crowd, a clear reference to the lingering controversy surrounding allegations made by wrestler La Rosa Negra in 2020. This contentious fan reception has marked her return to the company, which came after Impact Wrestling terminated her contract and stripped her of the World Championship in June 2020.

The situation escalated backstage at Slammiversary, where Marella confronted Blanchard and had her ejected from the arena. With the suspension now official, Blanchard’s future with the promotion is uncertain.
