During a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Royal Rumble winner Jey Uso reveals his desire to engage in a promo battle with The Rock, citing family connections as potential emotional leverage.
Jey Uso has expressed interest in facing The Rock in a verbal showdown within a WWE ring.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Uso discussed his desire to test his promo abilities against The Rock following The Final Boss’s recent alliance with John Cena at WWE Elimination Chamber on March 1, 2025.
I want to get in there. I would like to go toe to toe in a promo with him. I know The Rock is good like that but I feel like I’m new school with mine, I’m really in it. I’m really out there like that.
Uso also mentioned how he could leverage their family connection in any potential verbal confrontation, similar to his previous exchanges with Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso.
Rock is very believable. He can be entertaining and all that, but I feel like I can bring some different kind of emotions from The Rock – family always hit different. I didn’t know I could do it with Roman, with my brothers, so I would like to test those waters.
Jey and Jimmy Uso are second cousins once removed to The Rock.
The possibility of this confrontation has increased following recent developments, as Jey Uso eliminated John Cena to win the men’s Royal Rumble match. Uso revealed he learned about these plans on the day of the premium live event.
Jey Uso is currently preparing for his World Heavyweight Championship match against GUNTHER at WrestleMania 41, scheduled for either April 19 or 20, 2025.
In the lead-up to WrestleMania 41, GUNTHER has promised Uso “hell” in their upcoming championship clash.
Uso described the WrestleMania opportunity as “once-in-a-lifetime” during the interview.
