For Jey Uso, the upcoming battle is about one thing: family. On the road to Wrestlepalooza, one half of the newly reunited Usos has promised retribution against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed for the attack that sidelined Roman Reigns.
Jey underscored his motivation during a recent appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter. Asked about the looming tag team match with The Vision, he made the stakes personal. “We’re going to have to get them. Uh, we got to get them uh on next weekend. You know what I’m saying? Like they done dropped the tribal chief. That’s our guy. Head of the table. You can’t mess with family. You know what I’m saying? Sis, you know what it is? Like we can talk about it, but like you know, when someone else touches your family, it just hits you different.”
His comments referenced the ambush that closed last month’s Clash in Paris. After Roman Reigns defeated Bronson Reed, both Reed and Breakker struck, unleashing a prolonged assault that included multiple spears and repeated Tsunamis. The beating ended with the “Tribal Chief” stretchered out of the arena.
The storyline explanation pointed to multiple rib fractures, effectively writing Reigns off television. Behind the scenes, the hiatus coincides with his filming schedule for the upcoming Street Fighter movie in Australia, with his return not expected until closer to Survivor Series.
In Reigns’ absence, The Vision escalated their dominance, eventually targeting Jey Uso. That confrontation brought Jimmy Uso back into the fold, setting up the long-awaited reunion of the brothers and clearing the path to Wrestlepalooza.
With the match now confirmed, Jey’s mission is clear. For The Usos, this is not just another high-profile tag team contest—it is the first step in reclaiming their family’s standing and answering the attack on their “Head of the Table.”
