The Wyatt Sicks have their next challengers. During the August 29 episode of WWE SmackDown in Lyon-Décines, France, The Street Profits defeated the duo of The Miz and Carmelo Hayes, known as “Melo Don’t Miz,” to secure a future opportunity for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

The number one contenders match took place during the second hour of the broadcast, which was the final show before Clash in Paris. Before the bout, The Wyatt Sicks delivered a warning to both teams, setting a menacing tone for the high-stakes encounter. The French crowd was electric throughout the contest, which spanned a commercial break.

After a competitive back-and-forth, Montez Ford hit his “From The Heavens” splash on the wrong opponent, extending the match. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford later recovered, hitting their “Revelation” double-team finisher to secure the pinfall victory and earn their title shot.

The Street Profits’ victory lines them up against a faction that has quickly established dominance. Wyatt Sicks members Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy captured the tag team titles at SummerSlam. The group has also utilized the “Freebird Rule” at a recent WWE Live event, where Erick Rowan and Uncle Howdy defended the belts, indicating any two members of the faction can defend the championship.

In a recent interview with The Takedown on SI, faction leader Taylor Rotunda (Uncle Howdy) confirmed the group has a defined creative path with established goals. He urged fans to “pay attention for the future, ’cause it’s about to get crazy,” suggesting an intense storyline is unfolding. Rotunda also revealed that every member of the group was handpicked based on the creative vision of his late brother, Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt).

The faction’s growing presence extends beyond the ring. Today, August 29, marks the debut of a haunted house attraction at Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights titled “WWE Presents: The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks,” a project Rotunda noted was a long-held dream of his brother.
