Tiffany Stratton opens up about winning WWE Women’s Championship, reveals she was on “autopilot”
New WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton shares her thoughts on winning her first main roster title through Money in the Bank cash-in.

Tiffany Stratton captured her first main roster championship by successfully cashing in her Money in the Bank contract on Nia Jax during the January 3 edition of SmackDown. The victory came after Jax retained her title against Naomi.
The new champion shared her immediate reactions following the career-defining moment:
I’m feeling so amazing. The past couple of days, I feel like it honestly hasn’t even hit me yet. I’ve been just relaxing. I felt like through the whole process, whenever I was out there, I felt like I was just on autopilot. And then when I hit my moonsault finally, I really could relish in that moment.
Stratton elaborated on the significance of her achievement:
I felt like that’s when everything hit me—like all my hard work in the past 3 years. Standing on that table and holding the title felt so amazing. And then Vanessa Hudgens was 3 feet in front of me, and that felt even more amazing.
Prior to this achievement, Stratton held the NXT Women’s Championship in 2023 before dropping it to Becky Lynch.
Hall of Famer sees bright future ahead
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T offered his perspective on Stratton’s development and potential during his Hall of Fame podcast:
So coachable, man. That’s what I recognize with Tiffany more than anything. So coachable. I remember reading something that she was talking about as far as not leaving NXT before she was fully 100% ready, she didn’t want to be overconfident even though she’s very very confident in her skills and ability. To have that thought process at that young of an age, it told me a whole lot about her. Some of the little bit of advice that I gave her, she definitely went out and implemented that. Little bit of advice and I go, wow man, it’s not just going in one ear and out the other, she’s actually understanding. As far as picking it up, I’m talking about picking it up like that. A lot of these NIL talents have the knack to pick up professional wrestling. I don’t know, maybe it’s because they’ve been in that system where they are coachable, where they are part of a team, but Tiffany Stratton has definitely been that star man that’s shining really really bright. Like I said, I’m sure I wasn’t the only one that saw it, you know what I mean? I definitely was on the Tiffany Stratton bandwagon from the beginning, from day one as far as this girl here, she’s a special talent and she’s going to go a long way. This is just the first of many championships for Tiffany Stratton.

Major WWE Star Announces Hiatus After SmackDown
Following the March 14 edition of SmackDown in Barcelona, Lilian Garcia announced her departure as full-time announcer while transitioning to Saturday Night’s Main Event specials and other WWE projects.

Lilian Garcia announced she will no longer serve as the ring announcer for Friday Night SmackDown. She shared the news through her Instagram following the conclusion of the March 14 broadcast from Barcelona, Spain.
Garcia revealed that while stepping away from weekly SmackDown duties, she will remain with WWE in multiple capacities. Her new role includes handling ring announcing for all Saturday Night’s Main Event specials, which occur quarterly on NBC and Peacock.
The veteran announcer shared details about her transition in an Instagram post after her final SmackDown appearance.
Just finished announcing SmackDown in Barcelona, Spain and it was absolutely incredible!! Gracias por todo el amor España! ❤️ But now I have some news that this was my last show as the full-time SmackDown announcer. A new era is upon us BUT I will still be with the company as I will be announcing for all @wwe Saturday Night’s Main Event shows on @nbc & @peacock , singing at certain special events, AND currently working on other show ideas with WWE! 😉 WWE is my home so stay tuned as a new chapter begins… I invite all of you to continue this journey with me as we share it together!! 📖🤸🏼♀️ Bottom line, thank you and I love you dearly!!!! 💙🥰
Garcia originally returned to WWE on the October 21 episode of Raw, resuming her role as a ring announcer. She subsequently moved to the SmackDown brand earlier this year before this recent change in responsibilities.
WWE has yet to announce who will replace Garcia on the Friday night program. Alicia Taylor currently serves as Raw’s ring announcer, while Mike Rome handles announcing duties for NXT.
The announcing roles have been fluid recently, with Garcia filling in for Rome on NXT and Rome appearing on Raw before returning to NXT the following night.
This change represents another adjustment to WWE’s broadcast team, though Garcia will continue to maintain a presence with the company through her new specialized role.
