Tony Khan Faces Fan Accusations Over Britt Baker’s Absence in AEW

AEW President Tony Khan is being accused of hiding fan replies on social media that call for the return of former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker. The controversy has fueled speculation about her future with the company, as she hasn’t appeared on television in nearly a year.

It started when a fan claimed their repeated comments asking Khan to “announce Britt Baker return” were hidden from his posts. The user then confronted Khan directly, urging him to stop removing the replies and to “bring her home.”

The accusations come as rumors about Baker’s status in AEW continue to circulate. Some reports suggested she wanted to leave the company, but Khan has denied this, insisting she never approached him about an exit. He has pointed instead to AEW’s talent rotation policy, saying Baker will return when the timing is right.

Still, doubts have grown among fans. Baker was absent backstage at a recent Dynamite taping in Pittsburgh—her hometown—something many took as a significant sign.

Adding to the uncertainty are reports that Baker’s contract could run through 2027, with AEW able to extend the deal to cover injury-related downtime.

Baker herself recently spoke out on social media. On September 30, she thanked her supporters, writing: “We’re always so quick to burn the trolls on this app, but never quick enough to appreciate the true fans who show love every day. Thank you.”
