Top AEW Star Challenges Edris Enofe Following WWE Exit

AEW’s Ricochet has publicly invited Edris Enofe to All Elite Wrestling, issuing a challenge to the former NXT talent just moments after Enofe announced his departure from WWE.

In a post on X, Ricochet wrote, “Come to @AEW and ima slap you in the face. #Ahaa”.

The challenge immediately fueled speculation about Enofe’s next move, particularly given that Ricochet himself left WWE for AEW earlier this year. Enofe confirmed his exit on September 29, 2025, in an Instagram video, officially ending his four-year tenure with the company where he had become a standout on the NXT roster.

He explained the move was a personal choice he had considered for a significant time. “As of today, I will officially be leaving the WWE. This is a decision that I thought about for a very long time, and I’m gonna trust my gut on this,” Enofe stated. “For the past four years, I had the chance and the opportunity to meet and work with incredible people… and of course to all the fans who have supported me and stuck by my side through all these years, thank you.”

His departure comes after a recent return to the ring following shoulder surgery, with his final match occurring at an NXT live event in July. Enofe was primarily featured in the tag team division alongside his partner, Malik Blade, who has been sidelined with a torn ACL since December 2024.

Enofe’s exit is not the only recent departure from the NXT brand. Jazmyn Nyx is also slated to leave the company after reportedly declining a contract extension, according to a report from PWInsider Elite. Nyx, who publicly confirmed her annual salary was under $80,000, was written off television with an angle on the September 23 episode of NXT that saw her attacked by her Fatal Influence stablemates, Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley. Despite the storyline and reports of her impending departure, Nyx remains listed on WWE’s official roster.
