The reigning WWE Women’s Champion has commented on the possibility of a former roster member making a return to the company.
In a recent interview with Gorilla Position, Tiffany Stratton discussed whether she would welcome Mercedes Moné, formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE, back to the promotion. Stratton expressed enthusiasm about the potential of sharing the ring with the current AEW performer.
I hope so. I think that would be super cool if she came back. I would love to get in the ring with her.
Mercedes Mone departed WWE in May 2022 alongside Naomi when both performers walked out of a television taping. While Naomi has since returned to WWE during the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match, Mone has continued her in-ring career with AEW, establishing herself as a prominent figure in their women’s division.
Stratton’s comments come as she prepares for her championship defense at WrestleMania 41, showing interest in potential high-profile matchups that could materialize if Mone were to return to her former wrestling home.
