Top WWE star expressed concern over dangerous spot with Mustafa Ali at Royal Rumble

Mustafa Ali shared details about his interaction with Nia Jax following their memorable spot in the 2019 Men’s Royal Rumble match. During the match, Jax made an unexpected appearance after attacking the designated #30 entrant R-Truth, leading to a confrontation with the male competitors.

In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Ali discussed Jax’s reaction after executing a Samoan Drop that led to his elimination. The former WWE star revealed that Jax immediately checked on his well-being following the spot:

Nia was super… like, super worried that… ’cause she did a Samoan Drop backwards and I was supposed to go to my feet. But me being me, I did a Corkscrew or something… it looked like that. I landed really funny and she saw and she’s like, ‘Are you okay?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m fine.’ She’s like, ‘Everyone thinks I hurt people, and I don’t.’ I was like, ‘No, no, no, you were fine. You didn’t hurt me. I’m totally fine.’ So she’s a sweetheart. But yeah, the Nia moment was very very cool, and it was just… I took it as an opportunity to step up to… ‘I’m down for whatever, let’s do it, let’s make this entertaining.

Corey Graves comments on Naomi’s homage to Rikishi at Survivor Series

The Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series opened with Nia Jax facing off against Bayley before Naomi joined the action. Despite the numbers disadvantage, Jax maintained control throughout much of the early exchanges.

The match took an unexpected turn when Naomi recreated a signature move from Rikishi’s playbook. After Jax was positioned in the corner turnbuckle with a toilet seat around her neck, Naomi performed the iconic stinkface maneuver. Corey Graves provided commentary on the moment, stating:

I don’t find this as offensive as Rikishi.

The match concluded with Rhea Ripley securing victory by pinning Liv Morgan.
