After facing off against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in the Night 1 main event, where Rollins secured the victory with help from Paul Heyman, CM Punk took to social media to share his thoughts. His post contained a telling statement:
If it was the last, it might as well have been the best.
In the same Instagram post, CM Punk addressed the ups and downs of his wrestling journey, writing:
The path wasn’t straight. I made mistakes, got things right, was rude, and was also humbled.
This isn’t the first time CM Punk has addressed the topic of retirement. He previously stated he has no plans for an extended farewell tour like John Cena, and has expressed disinterest in making a formal retirement announcement when the time comes.
