Ethan Page has teased a potential reunion that could reshape the NXT tag team division. The former NXT Champion made cryptic comments during an interaction with Matt and Jeff Hardy this week.
WWE released footage on social media showing The Hardy Boyz touring the Performance Center, where they encountered several NXT talents including Page. The interaction occurred ahead of next week’s NXT Roadblock event.
During their conversation, Matt Hardy noted that Page had adopted a variation of the Hardys’ iconic Twist of Fate finisher. Page’s response raised immediate speculation about his future plans.
I’m just gonna take a wild guess and it’s probably not the last thing I take from you boys.
This statement appears to suggest Page intends to pursue tag team competition, potentially targeting the TNA World Tag Team Championships currently held by The Hardy Boyz. The legendary duo will defend these titles against Axiom and Nathan Frazer at NXT Roadblock in New York City.
Page has significant tag team history, most notably as one-half of The North alongside Josh Alexander in TNA. The pairing captured the TNA Tag Team Championships twice before disbanding in 2021 when Page signed with AEW.
Alexander is currently a free agent following his recent TNA departure, fueling speculation about a potential reunion between the former partners after four years apart.
Before any tag team aspirations materialize, Page must first overcome Je’Von Evans at NXT Roadblock. The North American Championship contender continues building momentum following his victory over Trick Williams at NXT Vengeance Day.
Other potential tag partners for Page could include current NXT stars such as Wes Lee or Ridge Holland, both of whom lack established tag team alignments.
The Hardy Boyz made their second consecutive NXT appearance this week, continuing to build anticipation for their championship defense at Roadblock. Their growing presence on the brand has created new opportunities for interaction with the current NXT roster.
