Trick Williams names former NXT Champion for hypothetical bar fight team
NXT Champion Trick Williams selects former North American Champion Oba Femi as part of his dream bar fight team, highlighting The Ruler’s dominant presence in NXT.

NXT Champion Trick Williams revealed his top picks for a bar fight squad during a recent appearance on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast. The Anointed One selected former North American Champion Oba Femi among his choices, highlighting The Ruler’s imposing physical presence.
During his conversation with hosts O’Shea Jackson Jr. and TJ Jefferson, Williams assembled a diverse team that included Tony D’Angelo, Je’Von Evans, and Lexis King. The champion specifically praised D’Angelo’s wrestling background, noting his ability to “throw down,” while describing Evans as “the Spider-Man to our Avengers team.”
The Ruler’s selection comes after a remarkable run in NXT throughout 2024. Femi captured the North American Championship from Dragon Lee in January, going on to successfully defend the title against notable competitors including Dijak, Josh Briggs, and Wes Lee.
The former track and field athlete’s reign surpassed Dragon Lee’s record for longest-reigning North American Champion before dropping the title to Tony D’Angelo on October 8. During his time as champion, the 26-year-old established himself as one of NXT’s most dominant forces.
