Triple H Confirms Major WWE Rule Break Ahead of WrestleMania 41

The original plan for championship matches at WrestleMania has been altered as a third competitor has been added to one of the title bouts. The match structure change modifies what was previously established as the path to championship opportunities at WWE’s biggest Premium Live Event.

Triple H officially confirmed the adjustment on social media, announcing that Rhea Ripley will join the Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania. This decision overrides the initial rule that Bianca Belair, as the Elimination Chamber victor, would receive a singles match against the champion.

The situation developed after Belair won the Elimination Chamber, earning a title shot against then-champion Ripley. However, the championship landscape shifted when IYO SKY defeated Ripley for the title, with Belair’s ringside presence serving as a distraction that contributed to Ripley’s loss.

Following this title change, Ripley attempted to insert herself into the championship picture by interrupting a contract signing between SKY and Belair. A subsequent match between SKY and Ripley with Belair as guest referee ended in a Double DQ after both competitors struck the referee. Despite Ripley seemingly losing her opportunity, Adam Pearce added her to the title match anyway.

Triple H put an official stamp on the triple threat match with his statement: “Three pillars of the @WWE Women’s Division, all with something to prove. Ripley. Sky. Belair. #WrestleMania.”

This confirmation solidifies the three-way championship bout while breaking from the established format that guaranteed Belair a one-on-one title match based on her Elimination Chamber victory.
