Match Featuring Two Former World Champions Made Official For WWE Crown Jewel

A high-stakes women’s tag team match has been officially added to the card for WWE Crown Jewel, as the newly formed, uneasy alliance of Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY will take on The Kabuki Warriors, Asuka and Kairi Sane. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia.

The match was finalized during the September 29 broadcast of WWE RAW from the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. The show opened with Ripley addressing last week’s attack by Asuka and Kairi Sane. She was interrupted by IYO SKY, who initially stated she would not fight her own group, but the situation escalated when The Kabuki Warriors launched another ambush on Ripley. After SKY intervened to help Ripley, Asuka incapacitated SKY with her signature mist.

Following the in-ring altercation, an enraged IYO SKY sought out RAW General Manager Adam Pearce backstage and secured the tag team match for the upcoming premium live event.

Despite agreeing to team up, the partnership showed immediate signs of friction. In a backstage segment, Ripley expressed clear doubts about her ability to trust SKY. SKY, however, assured Ripley that her allegiance was secure and she had nothing to worry about heading into their match.

The Crown Jewel card is also set to feature several other marquee matchups. The Men’s Crown Jewel Championship will be on the line as Cody Rhodes challenges Seth Rollins, while Tiffany Stratton is slated to face Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship. Additionally, a non-title match between AJ Styles and John Cena has been announced.
