The WWE tag team New Catch Republic, composed of Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne, is reportedly on the shelf with injuries, which explains their recent absence from company programming. The duo has not been in action since their victory over A-Town Down Under on the May 26 edition of Main Event.
The development was reported by Bryan Alvarez during an episode of Wrestling Observer Live.
“I can give everybody a scoop. I believe both Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne are injured,” Alvarez stated.
This news marks a significant setback for the team, particularly for Tyler Bate, who only returned to the ring in late March 2025. Bate had been sidelined for nearly nine months after suffering a torn pectoral muscle in July 2024 that required surgery. His return on the March 31 edition of WWE RAW was met with a strong reception as he reunited with Dunne.
Dunne, who was previously known as Butch in the Brawling Brutes faction, and Bate have found success in NXT but have yet to capture championship gold on the main roster. The nature and severity of their current reported injuries remain unclear.
