Update On Alexa Bliss After WWE Cancels Return Plans

Plans for Alexa Bliss to return to WWE were cancelled due to contract negotiations, according to PWInsider. The report indicates Bliss sought a new contract with enhanced terms and perks, while WWE maintained she should return under her current deal, which was extended during her maternity leave.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider initially reported on January 22 that Bliss’s planned return had been scrapped, with one source suggesting contract issues as the reason. A follow-up report confirmed the contractual disagreement as the determining factor.

WWE planned for Bliss to return on the January 13 episode of RAW on Netflix. However, these plans were cancelled after her representatives contacted the company to negotiate new terms, which WWE refused. The original plans included Bliss’s involvement in the Wyatt Sicks storyline, who have since moved to SmackDown.

Bliss has not addressed these reports on social media but has removed WWE-related mentions from her biographical information. During her time away from the ring, she has maintained a presence in entertainment through voice acting roles in Netflix series The Queen of Villains and Sakamoto Days.
