The man accused of stalking WWE Superstar Liv Morgan will remain in custody after being denied bond during a court hearing on Tuesday. The judge ruled against Shawn Chen’s request for release, ordering that he stay behind bars until his trial, scheduled for November.
Chen’s attorneys argued for his release by noting he had secured a bed at a local Salvation Army facility. The court rejected the proposal, stating, “Salvation Army, which is a voluntary adult rehabilitation program, is allowing the defendant to stay there. This is not a significant change in circumstances.” The ruling was reinforced by a psychological evaluation that determined Chen suffers from a delusional disorder centered on Morgan.
The charges stem from an incident earlier this year. On May 31, Chen allegedly traveled from Canada to Orlando, Florida, and attempted to enter Morgan’s home. He was arrested on June 3 and indicted later that month on a charge of interstate domestic violence.
If convicted, Chen faces a sentence of up to five years in prison.
