For fans who expected Liv Morgan’s WWE comeback to naturally flow into a feud with Roxanne Perez, new reporting indicates the company may not be heading in that direction. Despite the speculation, there are reportedly no creative plans in place for a program between the two.
Morgan has been sidelined since June with a shoulder injury. In her absence, Perez stepped into her spot in The Judgment Day and also claimed her half of the Women’s Tag Team Championships. According to Bodyslam, however, that storyline is not under consideration. The report also confirmed Morgan’s presence at the WWE Performance Center this week, continuing her recovery and staying on track with her rehabilitation timeline.
Questions about Morgan’s role have surfaced outside the ring as well. Former WWE writer Vince Russo criticized the decision to feature Morgan and Bianca Belair at the WrestleMania 43 press conference in Saudi Arabia despite their extended absences from television.
“I could not understand how they had two of their biggest stars at that press conference… who have not been on television in months,” Russo said. “So they are healthy enough to get on a plane and travel… but they’re not well enough to be on the television show.”
On the financial side, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray weighed in on the company’s strategy during his Busted Open Radio appearance. He suggested the move toward Saudi Arabia reflects a search for markets less resistant to rising ticket prices. “People are now getting to the point where they’re b—chin,’ moaning, complaining about the ticket prices,” he argued.
As Morgan continues her rehabilitation, the timing and direction of her creative return remain uncertain.
