Vince McMahon Appears In Court Today Regarding Reckless Driving Charge

Vince McMahon appeared in a Stamford, Connecticut traffic court Tuesday for his arraignment on charges of reckless driving and following too closely. The misdemeanor summons was issued following his involvement in a serious multi-car crash on July 24 in Westport.

The incident occurred on the Merritt Parkway when McMahon, driving a 2024 Bentley Continental GT, rear-ended a BMW 430. The impact sent both cars into a wooden guardrail, with debris striking a third vehicle in the southbound lanes. McMahon was released on a $500 bond at the scene.

While state police reported no injuries, the other driver, Barbara Doran, later posted a detailed account on Facebook. She claimed McMahon was driving between 80 and 90 mph and weaving through traffic on the narrow parkway.

According to Doran’s account, an unmarked state trooper was already following McMahon and was reportedly about to initiate a traffic stop just before the collision happened. Photos from the scene showed extensive damage to the front of McMahon’s Bentley.

This court appearance adds to the public scrutiny on McMahon. He resigned as executive chairman of TKO Group Holdings in 2023 after a former employee filed a sexual abuse lawsuit against him, which he has publicly denied.
