Wade Barrett Issues Statement After Disagreement with Nikki Bella

Wade Barrett has publicly confirmed that his recent disagreement with Nikki Bella is over. He announced that the two have spoken and “smoothed things over” following a public exchange that began after the Clash in Paris premium live event.

The situation gained attention after Bella addressed the issue on a podcast. She stated that Barrett appeared to avoid her backstage following his initial remarks about her career.

“I would love to have a conversation with Wade Barrett,” Bella said. “He avoided me on Monday, which was shocking because he always comes up and says ‘Hi’ to me–he tried to avoid making eye contact with me at the hallway.”

Barrett first responded briefly on X (formerly Twitter) before posting a detailed statement to resolve the matter. He clarified their conversation and condemned personal attacks directed at Bella.

“Great news, fight fans.. @NikkiAndBrie and I have spoken, we’ve smoothed things over, and I’ve graciously been allowed back into the Bella Army,” Barrett wrote. “Fully paid-up member since FCW 2008. A difference of perspective – to which we are all entitled – but to be clear, some of the personal abuse that gets sent to Nikki on here is reprehensible and completely out of line, so let’s cut that out immediately.”

Barrett’s initial comments were made during the pre-show for Clash in Paris.
